Last year we had two fanatistic litters and a total of 14 beautiful Siberian babies! They loved to play, were very inquisitive and contantly getting into mischief! They were all very affectionate and liked attention and cuddles.

*** Please note that we are not currently planning any more litters for the foreseeable future. We recommend talking to the breeders on our links page or visiting the Siberian Cat Club website for a list of registered breeders. July 2015 ***

Adopting a Kitten

As I am sure I have mentioned numerous times on this site our Siberian Kittens are ever so special to us, and we think they deserve to go to equally special homes.

It is very important for us to meet you in person and get to know you before agreeing to sell one of our kittens. When you come we will introduce you to our adult cats as well so that you have a good idea of how your Siberian Kitten will mature and it is also the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you might have. Once you have visited us if you would like an Alchemist kitten we ask for a £50 deposit per kitten to book your place on our waiting list.

Everyone on the list will receive updates on matings, pregnancies and other news. When a litter is born we send out regular photos so you can see the little ones grow and, once they have reached 6 or 7 weeks (by which time we will have a good idea of their personality, colour and type), we invite new owners to visit the kittens and choose their kitten, at this stage a further £150 deposit reserves YOUR kitten.

It is essential that you have a chance to meet the kittens and get to know them before making your final choice. For this reason we never take deposits on specific kittens until you have been to visit. If anyone on the lists visits and feels that 'their' kitten is not in the litter they are very welcome to wait and choose from our next litter instead.

Our kittens leave us around 14 weeks of age by which time they are fully weaned and litter trained. We strongly believe in giving our kittens the very best start in life. To ensure that they are completely ready to settle into life in their new homes all our pet kittens are neutered before they leave us. All our kittens come in good health, fully vaccinated, wormed and flea treated with 4 weeks free insurance. We’ll give you the kitten’s favourite toy (usually fairly well chewed) and we can also supply a kitten starter kit if required (contains the food and litter they are used to, a bed, food and water bowls and a litter tray).

Although we would never knowingly sell an unhealthy kitten we still recommend you take your kitten for his or her initial check up with your vet within 3 days of collecting them. We are happy to take kittens back into our care if this check up should reveal any unexpected health problems, but cannot be held accountable for any health issues that come to light later if you choose not to have your kitten checked.

All kittens are sold subject to our Alchemist Contract which ensures our kittens’ happiness and welfare in their new homes.

Bred for temperament and reared in the house as part of the family, all our kittens will make affectionate, fun and loyal companions. We choose our matings carefully to ensure that our kittens represent the very best the Siberian breed has to offer and all our babies are beautiful!

If, however, you are particularly looking for a show cat, just let us know and we will help you choose a kitten with the potential to compete. We are happy to sell show quality kittens to loving homes regardless of whether the owner wishes to enter the cat into competitions.

Both pet and show kittens are sold on the ‘Non-Active’ register (no kittens from them can be registered). These kittens we all be neutered before they leave us at 14 weeks. The cost of neutering, the kitten's vaccinations and microchip are added on once we receive the bill from the vets - we feel this is fairest as it means you only pay the actual costs and prevents the situation where some kittens end up subsidising others (for example male castrations are cheaper than female spays). Our vets offer high quality care but the prices are reasonable and as regular customers we receive a 10% discount on the Vaccinations and Microchips and pass these savings directly to you.

Breeding - £POA

Very occasionally we may consider selling a kitten for breeding.

A breeding kitten is one the represents the very best of the Siberian Cat breed. We believe that this cat, upon reaching adulthood, will achieve at least Champion Status with the GCCF. We also feel that offspring from this cat will enhance and improve the Siberian Breed.

Having decided to keep Jack we thought it would be nice to keep a photographiic record of his growth from kitten to adulthood to give new owners an idea of how your kitten is likely to mature and change as he or she grows up.
